DESCRIPTION: WW - Breitling Co-Pilot chronograph, ref 765 CP, manual wind, 42mm x 47mm to lug tips, 22mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case with bi-directional 12 hour bezel and faceted lugs with round pump pushers, grey one piece NATO strap, original black "reverse panda" dial with luminous painted baton indices, three inset subregisters for minute recording, hour recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 178, s#13456268, triple signed. Released in 1965, this particular model is well known for being worn by Raquel Welch in the film "Fathom," as well as being worn by Jean-Claude Killy during the 1968 Winter Olympics where he picked up three gold medals in Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, chronograph functions and resets properly, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, hardly any oxide; excellent-plus dial with very light surface spotting; replacement hands of the same style as the originals but of 3/4 size which look inappropriate with the large dial; polished case shows very little wear, crisp lug chamfers remain visible as well as some of the original factory finishing, several light dings on the case back from improper use of a case wrench; replacement crown shows little wear; good plastic crystal.
